Hubballi Airport (IATA: HBX) is a domestic airport serving the twin cities of Hubballi and Dharwad in Karnataka. Managed by the Airports Authority of India, it features a modern terminal capable of handling peak-hour passengers efficiently and includes North Karnataka’s first dedicated cargo terminal. The airport is part of the regional connectivity UDAN scheme, linking the region to major cities across India, and has invested in green energy with an 8 MW solar power plant. However, passengers have reported issues: for example, the access for elderly or physically challenged passengers is difficult due to stairs and a non‑functional elevator.

It is one of the largest junctions in the region and features India’s longest railway platform, stretching over 1.5 km. The station has multiple platforms and tracks, providing connectivity to major cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Goa.
